Rules and Regulations for Camping

Koinonia Lutheran Retreat – Suring, WI

All Campers and Parents:

      You are responsible for making your children, visitors, and others occupying your site aware of these rules. We reserve the right to evict anyone-without refund-who creates a disturbance, nuisance, or endangers the safety of other campers or guests. Upon termination, the guest and their party shall be deemed trespassers.

All accounts must be paid in full at time of check-in. All guests must check-in.

1. HOURS /Seasonal Dates:  Camping season – May 6, 2022-Oct 16, 2022

Check in time is 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Check out time is 12:00 p.m.(noon).

All visitors must check in at Pavilion.

2. DONATION FEES:  First Come/First Served    Must be paid at check-in

Electric/Water sites:  $35/day   $200/week   $350/month   $1200/season (includes winter storage)  Non-electric/non-water sites:  $25/day    Visitor pass $5 per day, per adult.

Non-Refundable Fees

3. PARKING:  One vehicle is permitted to park on site. A second vehicle per site is allowed for free in the visitor parking area. All other vehicles, trailers, boat trailers, etc. must be parked in the Visitor parking lot for a fee of $5/day. Parking is prohibited alongside any road within the campground at all times for safety of children, pets, and campers.

4. OCCUPANCY:  One camp unit per site (RV, Trailer, Pop-up) and one additional tent per site. One vehicle on camping site-additional vehicles must be parked in Visitor parking lot.  Any additional vehicles over two will be charged $5/day.

 5.  CAMPING PARTY: Any individual, family or unorganized group occupying a campsite. An unorganized group may not exceed 4 adults and 4 children who are 7 years of age or older.

   FAMILY: A parent or parents with their unemancipated children and not more than two (2) guests.

   JUVENILE GROUP: A group made up of juvenile members of an established organization and under the leadership of at least one competent, mature adult 21 years old or older per 5 juveniles in the group and using any number of camping units or occupying a group campground.

6. FIRES:  Fires will be permitted only at designated fire rings or grills. Firewood is available for personal collection – anything found on the ground.  Bringing firewood from an outside source within surrounding areas is allowed. Cutting standing timber with permission only. Permission given by FMD.

7. MUSIC AND NOISE:  Unreasonable noise will not be tolerated. 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. are quiet hours. Radios, music, TV’s, etc., will be operated in a manner that does not disturb others. Any disturbance should be reported to the park caretaker-FMD: 920-217-0789

8. FIREWORKS:  No fireworks without permission

9. FIREARMS:  Firearms are not permitted on the property during the camping season, May 6-October 16, 2022, except for specific designations. See Camp Facilities Management Director (FMD)– Zac Muther 920-217-0789

10.  PETS:  Quiet and well-mannered pets are allowed and welcomed at the campground. Any        pet that shows aggressive behavior will be required to be leashed or placed inside camper. Limit of 2 pets per site. Owners will be notified when excessive barking is occurring. Any dog that has continuous, excessive barking and ill manners will be required to leave the campground.

11.  ALCOHOL AND OTHER SUBSTANCES:   Alcohol is permitted. However, excessive use or use of any illegal drugs are strictly prohibited. As solely determined by management, drunkenness, disorderly conduct, illegal drug use, obscene language, any disrespectful/rowdy behavior by you, your guests, your children or anyone at your campsite will subject you and your group to immediate ejection without a refund.

12. TRASH:  Do not leave garbage in campsites.  Please take all garbage and recyclables with you when you leave. Locked dumpsters are provided near exit. Please also walk around your campsite and pick up any trash that may have been left on the ground.

13.  TRAFFIC & VEHICLES:  Keep at a 5 MPH speed limit through camping area for safety (this includes ATVs, golf carts, and dirt bikes). For trails south of river, practice safe riding in accordance with Wisconsin ATV trail rules. ATVs must yield to pedestrians and horses.  Respect everyone’s rights for fun and enjoyment. All vehicles must have stock or other reasonable decibel level mufflers on them. NO VEHICLES besides ATVs are allowed in the river

14. DUMPING:  Two portable toilets will be available this year. No dumping of gray or black water tanks in them. External dump tanks can be left by toilets to be emptied when toilets are cleaned for an additional fee of $15.

15. RULES ENFORCEMENT:  Failure to observe posted rules may result in cancellation of the camping permit, and offenders will be subject to penalties.

16. OTHER INFORMATION:  Swimming and boating are at your own risk. No lifeguard on duty.
